                      17th  ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP AWARD

Dear Chief Executive Officer:

As in previous years, the Burlington County Police Chiefs Association is awarding a five hundred dollar scholarship to any active duty Burlington County Police Officer (or dependant child of same) who is presently attending an accredited college at the time of application.  The selection criteria for the award of this scholarship are based upon both academic ability and financial need.  The selection committee for the scholarship award consists of the Executive Board.  The scholarship will be presented at the PROCOPS Dinner held Thursday May 14th, 2009 at the Touch of Class II, located at 636 N. Forklanding Road, Maple Shade, New Jersey.

Please post this letter in a prominent place in your department.  Also, please reproduce the enclosed application to accommodate interested applicants.

As a final note, the cutoff date for submission of the applications will be Friday  May 8, 2009.
